What are you hiding in your Earthbound closet called your body?

We are divine magnificent beings.  Most of us agree with that.  And we are using this body to be able to hang out here on Earth.  It is the receptacle, the container, the space suit for planet Earth.  An intricate miracle that operates, often under great duress, in the limitations of this planet and those imposed by the owner of the body – heat, cold, gravity, weather, disease, abuse, misuse, judgement, criticism and on and on.  I’m sure you can think of many more ways we disuse, overuse and abuse our bodies.

Today I was talking with someone on the phone about my teleclass on The Body. And out of my mouth popped the phrase "our Earthbound closet" and the woman I was talking with started talking about the clutter we put in that closet.  It started me thinking.

What kind of clutter are we hiding in our bodies?  What is it we stuff in there, suppress in there, hide in there and just never clear or clean out?  When I was a kid my parents used to listen to a radio show called Fibber McGee’s Closet – at least that’s what I remember it was called – I was really small.  Any time anyone would open the closet door you could hear all this stuff tumbling out – crash, bang, crash, crash, bang, clunk, thunk and always one final crash. Getting everything back in and getting that door closed again was always a feat.

Some of us treat our bodies like Fibber McGee's closet.

We do physical cleanses to physically clean out the body.  But do we do emotional cleanses and mental cleanses.  I’ve been finding that we stash all sorts of emotions in this wonderful miracle of a body – guilt, shame, hate, defeat, disappointment, etc.  And we stash it in all sorts of areas – there’s the “fat” closet, and the “joint” closet, and the “muscle” closet and the “blood” closet.  In my work with people on their aches and pains, I often find that the body is attempting to communicate with them about something that’s not working as well as it could.  That “something” is often in the emotions, or programmings and beliefs that are in direct conflict with the current direction the person is attempting to go.   When those are found and changed, the pain often goes away.

Part of my Teleclass on The Body is going to be a closet cleaning on the mental and emotional levels of the body.  And for right now, here are some “downloads” that might make things a bit clearer and maybe clean out some clutter.

    Downloads:

What is Your Relationship to Your Body? More about the Teleclass

What we resist persists - or so goes the quote.  (Author, Sonia Johnson, American feminist activist and writer. )  This idea has been repeated in many different ways.  I used to say, "Where you look, you drive."  And, it is true, that if while driving you continuously look to the right or left, you will automatically turn the wheel in that direction.  So, if you are resisting something about your body, and it is in your thoughts, it is likely that you will receive more of that.  The age-old question is how do we change our thoughts?

Thoughts are generated from our beliefs and with ThetaHealing we can find and change our beliefs -- thus changing the thoughts.  That's what this teleclass will be about -- changing the beliefs so that our attention and thoughts go in the direction we want it to go.

What are you resisting about your body?  Is it your weight, your thighs, it's need for exercise, what?

How happy are you with  your body?

How much do you love it?

How much judgment and criticism does your body receive from you?

Where could you take better care of it?

What is it that your body wants from you in order to function more effectively and efficiently?

What is really going on with your body versus what you think is going on?

What are you hiding in your body?

Our bodies are marvelous miracles that function under amazing circumstances.  This 4 week class is an exploration of our relationship to our bodies and what we can do to enhance it.  It is limited to 8 people.  There will be interaction between the members of the group.  There's a workbook you can fill out ahead of time or during or after -- your choice.  Changes in our beliefs about our body will be made, with permission, using ThetaHealing.   Each class will be recorded.

I've been working with this for a while now with my Thetahealing synergy groups and now it's time to take it to the telephone with a 4-part series.  Each class will be 2-hours.

Part I- - The body - Our Hiding Place
Part 2 -- Loving our Bodies Just the Way they Are
Part 3 -- Clearing the Body to Open Up Our Divinity and Divine Power
Part 4 -- Food and Our bodies

Individually, the teleclasses will be $22.00.  Purchased as a series they will be $62.00 and will include a 30-minute personal consultation with me sometime time during the series

Classes will begin on June 25 and be held on Wednesday evenings at 7 for 4 consecutive Wednesdays.  Each class will be recorded so if you've signed up for the series,  you will receive an email link for the recording should you miss the class or just so you can listen to it again.

Just before the class you'll receive an email questionnaire/workbook that I'll use during the class to make sure your needs are met.

    Prerequisite:  Basic ThetaHealing DNA 2

Exceptions will be made on an individual basis.  If you've done a lot of private theta work and know how to muscle test yourself, you'll probably be allowed to take the class.  Call me to discuss this.

The Hero’s Journey – Is this archetype running your life?

If you are writing fiction, then the “hero’s journey” makes for great drama and conflict.  Our hero goes through trial after trial before he finally makes a breakthrough to that next level or to achieving the goal or finding and bringing home the treasure.  As an archetype this “belief system” has been around for a long time, and Joseph Campbell has brought it front and center in his books.

Recently the success of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Cystal Skull shows us just how much we love watching a hero make that journey. In fact, the success of many a blockbuster can be attributed to our love of the Hero's Journey, at least in part.

So why am I writing about this?  What do I know about the Hero’s Journey?  Short Answer:  I’ve been living it over and over again all my life.

Now for the longer answer to my own questions.

My guidance from the Universe for the West LA Theta Synergy group was that it was to be about the body and what we think is going on versus what is really going on.  I opened my West LA Theta Synergy group with the story about how I had created my own cold, and laryngitis from the fear of catching someone else’s cold.  I had been able to clear the first part of the sore throat completely with Theta, and then, it came back and I heard to just let it go.  So I did.  The day I’d cleared my throat, tons of business started coming in.  And then, the sore throat came back and I realized that I had a tough weekend of photography ahead of me – and I decided that I was going to do it – no matter what – voice or not, cold or not.  Whatever it took, I was going to take advantage of this business.  And I did.  I had the energy required to do it, thanks to Theta.  At this point I also need to admit I’d have much rather been on the couch resting.

Someone who knows me said to me, “You certainly are being required to go through a trial by fire.”  I didn’t think much about this comment until my friend Lora spoke up at the synergy group.

What she said goes something like this. “I know something of your health history, including the time you did major surgery awake, and it seems that you create a Hero’s Journey with respect to your health in order to go to the next level.”  Almost immediately I saw it.  “Yes.”  That’s what happened.  So we began to explore how “having to go through trails in order to have what we want” affects our lives not only in our bodies and health, but in every area of our life.    Each person in the group found different places where they needed a Hero’s journey scenario in order to get to the “next” level in their growth/success/transformation.

Does the Hero's Journey get played out in your life, over and over again? Does it require some great drama to catapult you to the next level?
